This site is dedicated to the memory of Cathy
Cathy was born in West Derby Village, Liverpool on May 03, 1928, she had a rich and full life.
Cathy had four children. Susan, the oldest, was born in Liverpool, Janice was born in London and Linda and Martin were both born in the Isle of Wight.
Cathy a quiet, reserved type of person who was always very smartly turned out and wouldn’t like to be seen any other way. She was generous and kind.
Cathy loved to read and do the puzzles in magazines and loved to watch the soaps and could always tell you what was going on. She loved listening to Dean Martin. She loved her garden and flowers, particularly roses. As she got older, she became a little wobbly on her feet so she could do less of the big jobs, in the garden, but she still enjoyed pottering about.
What Cathy loved most in the world was her family, her children, her grandchildren and her sisters. Cathy would have given them the world, in a heartbeat, if she could have. How great that love was and how great it is that she knew how much her family loved her.
Cathy was a kind and generous woman and you had led a good life that touched all those who knew her. We rejoice that she lived, and are glad that we knew her.
Cathy is much loved and will always be remembered by all her friends and family.

in 1952, my Dad wrote a poem in an autograph book. I only saw this a couple of years ago, and what he has written has puzzled me ever since. I know now that some of the words he wrote, were from A Home of my Own...my Dad died very young from ongoing problems to do with his war experience. I last saw him around this time. I am 73 now - and every word in the poem is ME - I'm alone, have my own little house (but no fire)...it's as though my dad has sent me a message...and I so wish I'd found Catherine earlier - I would have loved to have met her. thank you to you all X
